{"id":6457,"date":"2013-09-04T11:37:59","date_gmt":"2013-09-04T08:37:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.newfuels.eu\/?p=1794"},"modified":"2023-07-05T16:28:01","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T16:28:01","slug":"grant-of-the-year-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newfuels.eu\/en\/grant-of-the-year-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Company of The Year 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>We are very proud to announce that Rezekne Special Economic Zone (RSEZ) have awarded &#8220;NewFuels&#8221; RSEZ SIA<\/em> <em>first place in the competition for\u00a0<strong>Company of The Year 2012. <\/strong>\u00a0NewFuels won in the category for medium sized enterprises.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Sandra E\u017emale, General Manager of RSEZ commented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe aim of the competition for&nbsp;<strong>Company of The Year<\/strong> within RSEZ is to evaluate and honour the most successful entrepreneurs by evaluating RSEZ companies\u2019 performance during the past year. This includes investments in improving production efficiency, production volumes, exports achieved, and taxes paid etc. The evaluation commission this year consisted of representatives from The RSEZ Board of Supervisors, The Latvian Employers\u2019 Confederation and The Rezekne City &amp; Regional Tripartite Advisory Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several awards were granted to NewFuels: \u201cThe Producer of the Year\u201d, \u201cThe Largest Taxpayer\u201d, and \u201cThe Largest Exporter\u201d. The company is the third largest wood pellet producer in Latvia; producing circa 120 thousand tons of product per year, and exporting to Sweden and EU countries. The sales revenues from production in 2012 amounted to 7,985 million LVL, with some 805 thousand LVL being paid in taxes. The company has 27 employees, with the average salary exceeding the overall average for the region. The company produces environmentally friendly pellets by strictly observing all sustainable criteria, and applying socially sound management principles.
